CAPACITY PROGRAMS
Participants in capacity programs are entitled to payments for reducing electricity consumption when the reliability of the electric grid is in jeopardy. Before enrollment, a consumption analysis is performed and control strategies embedded into the building management system in preparation for responding to an event.
PEAK DEMAND MANAGEMENT
Participants in demand management are notified in advance to shift or reduce electricity consumption during peak periods. Using the pre-programmed building managment system, facility consumption would be reduced according to the predetermined requirement.
DER MONETIZATION
Organizations with onsite power reserves may submit energy bids to balancing authorities. When awarded the bid, the customer receives payment and the grid operator is supported in balancing the energy supply and demand.
